Title: DAP-1533 to DIR-857
Post by: Renatas on June 02, 2012, 09:31:26 AM
Anybody tried DAP-1533 to DIR-857 bridgeing. Is it worth it compared to DAP-1525?

Thanks.

I presume either one is compatible, however be aware that you'll not be able to take advantage of the 450Mb WiFi speeds that the 857 offers. As far as networking compatibility, any DAP model AP should work well. I personally have not tested any DAP models as of yet. I have tested a 3rd party wireless adapter that supports 450Mb speeds and it works great. Let us know what you experience.

Seems like the DAP-1533 supports 450Mb WiFi. Hmm.  :o

Any one give this DAP-1562 a try with the 857? http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=DAP-1562&tab=3 (http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=DAP-1562&tab=3)
"True 4x4 MIMO Technology provides wireless data rates of up to 600Mbps."

The DAP-1525 doesn't support 450Mb WiFi, only 300Mbs.

DAP-1533 firmware 1.0 and send and receive max was ~210 Mbps. Windows 8 with antivirus, firewalls, traffic shaping, SPI, QoS and other stuff on to be realistic.

Awesome. Thank you for your feed back and experiences. Very helpful. We hope you enjoy it. I'll be testing out a Wifi adaptor on 450 here soon.  ;)
