Does DIR 615 by default support GRE passthrough?
« on: March 14, 2022, 04:29:14 PM »

Hi,
I have DIR 615 hardware e4 firmware 5.13.
does this device natively support GRE protocol pass through without any config?
I just need to know if this info is available because even after setting protocol number 47 (for GRE) to pass through in virtual server option, when I attempt to make an inbound pptp vpn connection I get the classic 806 error which indicates somewhere GRE packets are dropped. 1723 is open and reachable as such  but that won't be enough. All local and router firewalls are off.
My suspicion is that my isp is dropping GRE at their firewall.
Thx.

No idea. This is an older router now. Might try using the DMZ on the router to ensure your getting what you need to the device your trying to support.
