Although I'm new to the DCS-942L (Purchased July 4th), it updated the firmware to 1.21. I don't know if the following issues are directly related to this firmware or if it has been a problem for anyone in the past.
1. Advanced settings > Snapshot > It randomly loses my email username and password. I suspect sometime between turning motion detection on and off via the myDLink app.
2. Advanced settings > Snapshot > It changes from 'Motion' trigger to 'Always' randomly.
3. With iPhone 5 IOS 7 beta 2 > myDLink Lite app > Live View > The 480p view is scrambled. The 240p is fine. 480p looks fine on the iPad using the same app though. Likely an IOS 7 issue.
4. With iPhone 5 IOS 7 beta 2, the emailed video (after a motion trigger) that is set to MP4 won't play. The iPhone seems to rename the extension to "avi" when it is clearly a 'mp4' attachment. I really think this is an IOS 7 issue, but wanted to make you were aware since you will start getting these issues once IOS7 is released.
I really like the product though. Exactly what I was look for at a great price!

The snapshot is not so random. I can set the trigger to 'motion' and save. From the myDLink lite app, I will turn on motion detection and then turn off motion detection. When I go back into advanced settings, it has changed the trigger in snapshot from 'motion' to 'always'.
This doesn't seem to occur when I turn on motion detection from the mydlink.com.
So, in conclusion, the current myDLink lite app changes the snapshot trigger to 'always'.

Firmware v1.21 is now posted on the mydlink.com/support website. ;)

After the 1.21 upgrade I can no longer get to settings. All else works fine. No matter what computer or browser I use going to settings times out. Java has been updated on IE10, Chrome, Firefox and my mobile drivers. Any ideas?

The camera speaker doesn't work in this version, and didn't in the previous version either. I've never been able to get it to work. Anyone else have this problem? I have the option on, and have tried in the browser and through the mydlink lite iOS app... does not work.

From what I've read, I don't think there is an actual speaker on the 942L. I think you have to plug in external speakers.

Hah! Yes, you are right. I did not realize that! Thanks.

Anyone else having trouble getting to settings. I got the message that my firmware was updated but, do I need to try to redo it. I cannot do it manually as I cannot get into settings. ?????

I had this problem and did a factory reset on the camera and started over on the setup process. This fix the settings issue.

Am I the only one having the SNAPSHOP setting jumping back to "ALWAYS" and also randomly losing my email username and password?
