Hi, I am new to this forum
I have a DNS-320, and want to set up a specific FOLDER backup. The software asks for an URL, which is defined as
URL
Enter the local site address for the scheduled backup. Click on 'Test' to verify access to the site. If you chose 'File' from the above drop down list, you must specify the exact file in the URL path.
Anything I enter fails the test
I want to back up my PC C:\test as an example folder
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Cheers

First you need to share the folder you want to backup.
Right click the folder and select "Share" from the popup menu.
Select "Everyone" from the dropdown box and click "Add". Then click "Share".
Then you can reach your folder by entering \\your_pc_name\your_folder_name in the URL box.
I haven't tested it, but this is how it should work.

ah, many thanks, that has helped
Have now shared the drive, and I get a different error message now...
URL :\\wxxxx201\users\bloggs\personal
Test result : Fail
File size : Unavailable
Does anyone know what that means?
