and also the same for HTPC, but when I go to the applications menu > HTPC manager > launch interface i get the following error

Checked on my NAS, asked a friend to check - it works.
You have these Addons installed?
DNS-320L python Package v1.02_11272014_UA
DNS-320L HTPCManager Package v1.00_08222014_UA

Can a screenshot with the error show? Maybe it something becomes clear.

Well I have no idea what's happened.

I re-downloaded the files in the links provided.

Installed them. Started Python 1st and then HTPC and now it's working. I did exactly the same thing last time and it didn't work.

Now need to work out how to set it all up so I can let it run and become automated.

Thanks for your help/advice :)

Regards,
A

I'm still having issues configuring to make it automated. Looking for a very friendly user guide to assist in setting up SABnzbd and sickbeard.

I'm struggling to be honest. Can post screen grabs of the areas i'm having issues with if it helps.

Hi to all

Firstly thanks to those creating/adding new addons etc and helping
 - yes you guessed it "newbie" here   ;) ;)  (well newbie to "tweaking/messing with DLink NAS)

I've never used XBMC and have tried Plex (doesn't support streaming mkv) and Twonky but seems I'm not getting  the best and so I took the plunge to try Home Theater PC but I guess I'm missing something  :-\  probably XBMC.

I've installed Python and Home Theater PC and can access Home Theater PC then what?

Do I need to install XBMC on the Dlink Nas?
and if yes which version?

A I've said never used XBMC and looking to access/stream media (in a nice layout) from my DLink NAS via my smarttv, android tvbox, android mobile etc

Thanks in advance

oops nearly forgot

Question, does this add-on support MKV file formats or any other formats? What file formats does this support?
Any support for the DNS-340L?

AFAIK XBMC will support mkv (a quick google search "XBMC mkv" will confirm this - I had similar problems with Plex version not supporting mkv

edited:  http://kodi.wiki/view/Features_and_supported_formats kodi (XMBC) list supported video formats (section 3,1)

With regards to 340L compatibility I can't find an answer but below is a link (if allowed) to Dlink addons with the relevant supported devices

@mods please remove link if unacceptable

So if you are going to try this on your 345 I assume you've used XBMC before?

How do you get XBMC ON Home Theater PC?   ::)
