D-Link DNS-323 Max. HDD / Possibility of 4TB?
« on: July 29, 2015, 01:45:44 PM »

Hi,

I have a D-Link DNS-323 and I wish to upgrade the HDD. I currently have 2x160GB installed.

I am thinking to replacing them both by 2x2TB, i.e. a total of 4TB.

After reading your posts, it says that "Support for HDDs up to 2TB"

I haven't quite actually understand is very well.. Does it say 2TB per HDD bay or 2TB in total, i.e. 2x1TB total?

Concerning this thread: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=50050.0;prev_next=prev#new

Do you think it is possible to install 2x2TB HDD in the DNS-323.

Can you please correct and confirm me.

Thanks and regards,

Nirmal.

Please see the following post: DNS-323 - HDD Size and AFT (Advanced Format Technology) Support

The only caveat you will need to consider is identifying a model HDD that will be compatible with the DNS-323, which is rather aged.  I suggest reading manufacturer recommendations as well as reading these forums for HDD make/models that other DNS-323 owners used successfully.
