Title: Broken?
Post by: ucom on November 05, 2019, 07:57:55 AM
Hello,

Cam seems broken.
The red LED is on and i cant seem to reset it.
Is there a way to force reset to factory settings?

Is it blinking or solid red?

To reset, hold a paperclip in the hole until the LED turns solid red then release. It will remain solid red for about 30 seconds and then start blinking orange/amber.

Yeah it seems the camera is dead. Contact tech support for a possible replacement.

Unfortunately the reset button is the only way. I am sure there is a way on the board itself but D-Link will not release that to the public. I am not aware of a crash recovery procedure for the DCS-8xxxLH series camera since there is not a web UI. Sorry about that.
