can I daisy chain D-Link Range Extenders
GreenBay42:
Going building to building you will need higher-end access points. Home repeaters like the 1720 will not have the distance or performance.
How far apart are the buildings?
A couple options:
network --- router --- access point (bridge mode) ) ) ) ( ( ( access point (bridge mode) --- switch --- network
|
internet
or
network --- router --- access point (client mode) ) ) ) ( ( ( access point (AP mode) ) ) ) ) wireless clients
|
internet
Definitely use static IPs

buildings are 60 feet apart.
FurryNutz:
You would be better served with more robust APs if your wanting to use wireless.
Any chance of running LAN cable between the buildings? Or is the ground topped with concrete or pavement?

lan cable is not viable, must be wireless. I will not be needing high speed throughput, the furthest extender will be used for a camera only.
FurryNutz:
Then I recommend testing the Client AP mode at the local site and a Wireless Bridge mode Client at the remote site configuration and see how it works for you.
