OK, I'm a dummy.  I lost my user name and password to get into the "Advanced Features" section of my camera when I'm logged to mydlink website.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Can you log into the DCS-932L web interface using a PC on your home network? If your web interface login credentials are saved in your browser, you can navigate to MAINTENANCE -> Admin to set new user and password credentials.

Thanks for the response.  I never have logged in directly with a browser, but tried anyway and of course (as expected) the credentials weren't there.  Same "Windows Security Logon" screen.  Was worth a try, thanks.  Any other suggestions?  What happens if I press the "reset" on the back of the DCS-932L?  WIll I have to reconfigure all from scratch, and (more importantly) will it null out my log in credentials, so I can redo them?

When you originally configured your account, the CD Wizard prompted you to create an admin password for the web Interface. If you did not create an admin password during configuration, then the default password is blank. Try logging in with:

http://CAMERA_IP_ADDRESS/
User name: admin
Password: [leave field blank]

If you are still unable to login then you will need to perform a hard reset of your DCS-932L. This process will change your settings back to the factory defaults (i.e. you'll have to reconfigure the camera).

To reset your camera to the factory defaults, use the end of a paperclip to hold the RESET button on the rear of the DCS-932L for more than 3 seconds while the camera is plugged in.

Please let us know how things turn out.

Thanks again.  Admin and null PW didn't work.  I'm sure I set a user name and PW, just can't believe I didn't note it somewhere.  I'll try the reset tomorrow.  I'll let you know.  It's probably good practice, as I plan on geting a couple more of these.

It's always good practice to keep your passwords in a secure place. Again, let us know how things work out. After you configure the camera, log into the firmware and you'll find an option to save your configurations to a file on your PC. If you ever need to reset your camera again, you can upload the configuration file and save some time.

Even dumber.  I finally did find a word .docx that I had stored all necessary info in... and it was right ON my desktop.  It is now in a secure folder where I store all my other credential information.  Thanks for your assistance, I guess a good nights sleep let me look at the situation with a clear mind.

I still recommend going into the web interface and saving a copy of the configurations file to your local PC in case you need to reset the camera at some point in the future.

First thing I did when I got in, under System --> Save Configuration.  Thanks for telling me about that, I would not have known it was available.  Saved in two locations, and of course on my weekly image backup to external HD.

Every router and most networked devices (even non-D-Link) contain a similar option to download the configuration settings. You should save the settings for your router and any NAS devices as well. Re-learning how to configure everything (IP addresses, share locations, permissions, etc.), especially after a long time passes since you initially configure a device, is a painful exercise you could easily avoid.
