Hi
I just wonder how many clients can I connect to the DIR-3060?
//P
-
Should be over 30 I would presume.

DIR-3060 A1 : 119

Many thank you for the answers
Where can I read about this information? ... since I have many wifi home smart products but always get a maximum of 64 clients via the app, I wonder what is right as I have more than 80 and some lose their wifi from and to.

Is this thru the D-Link app or the routers web page?

DIR-1360 A1 : 119
DIR-1760 A1 : 121
DIR-1960 A1 : 121
DIR-2660 A1 : 121
DIR-3060 A1 : 119

Thanks
Have now tried to remove a lot of wifi clients and now have 59 and then everything feels much more stable ... has mostly cameras and smart plug. But when I had about 80 wifi clients, many dropped out from time to time and it still showed only 64 clients in both the app and via the router.
What could this be due to?

As a suggestion and recommendation to not overload the router and better help share and spread out the connections with all of your devices, you may want to install a DAP extender in addition to the router so that some of your devices can connect to the extender and better help the router with connections and device loads.

Just buy 2nd router. It's not very expensive.. ;)

Any updates on this?

Hi again ... how do I use two routers if I now want to distribute many wifi clients so one router does not take everything ... what does such a configuration look like?

Turning a router into an AP. (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=40856.0)
You would being using different far apart channels between the two routers, i.e. channel 1 on the 1st router and channel 11 on the 2nd router in AP mode on 2.4Ghz. Same with 5Ghz channels.
You can try setting same SSID and PW on each router, now sure if this will work, if not, use a different SSID name to test on the 2nd router in AP mode.

Can I use d-link dir 880L for a second router so I can use more wifi clients total.
My Dir-3060 have around 80 wifi clients now and can not take more and I want some more.
How do I connect to routers with each other?

No. It's recommended to have the 2ndary router in AP mode placed about 30 feet or more away from the main host routers wifi.
Also need to use far apart channels, between the two routers, Channel 1 on the main host router and channel 11 on the 2ndary router in AP mode. Same with 5Ghz channels.

Where can I find these settings in each router?...channel 1 and 11 and AP?
-
Under Wireless Settings on each units web page.
You'll need to disable Smart Connect on each.

Why does it only show a maximum of 64 clients both in the app and via the computer when it is said that it can handle 119 clients? ... what am I doing wrong or what is wrong?
-
I believe the app can only display 64 clients. How many devices do you have? Having more than 40 is very rare. You should probably wire in an access point or 2 to spread it out. Router will prob get overloaded even though the chipset specs show up to 119 supported clients - but it all depends on bandwidth being used and interference/distance/WiFi quality.
