Dir-615
« on: November 11, 2011, 06:34:18 PM »

I just bought a Dir 615 and have managed to successfully connect 2 laptops running Vista, a desktop running XP through direct cable, an I-phone and an I Pod.  I have another laptop running XP that I can't get to connect properly.  The messages tell me that I am connected with excellent signal strength, but when I try to access the internet it doesn't work.  I can successfully connect if I use a cable through the Dir 615, but the wireless won't work for me.  Any suggestions?

Probably security. What wireless NIC or adapter are you using for the laptop that can't connect?

Try single mode G or mixed G and N?
What security mode are you using? WEP, WPA or WPA2? Preferred is WPA-Personal. WPA2/Auto TPIK and AES.
