Remote live viewer
« on: September 15, 2015, 04:18:00 AM »

I get a following error message when I try to use remote live viewer: "Your current browser does not support Remote Live Viewer/Remote Playback service. Please try again with Internet Explorer 6.0 or above." I get the connection with the computer and browser loads a page where I can choose do I want to use Remote Live Viewer or Remote Playback. Both of those give me a same error message and those remote applications won't work. How do I fix this problem? I already installs the newest version of D-ViewCam and it won't help me.

Ya thats what I saw in a search. Wasn't sure.

The user will need to contact the Mfr of this application to get help and information regarding it.

Thanks Phil.

Wondering why the OP feels the need to use external (unsupported by D Link) software/application to view cams?

I don't have a D Link Camera (unfortunately) but maybe if the OP explains what they want to achieve then hopefully someone will be able to help  ;)

The OP is referring to the Network Services functionality of the D-ViewCam software, which allows you to view the live stream and playback recorded video from a web browser, and I have seen the same thing.  I was able to get playback working by adding the site to the Compatibility View settings in IE (and installing the Active-X control), but that does not work for Live Stream.  I can get neither to work in Chrome.  Would love to hear if anyone has been successful in getting these to work (and how).

Not sure it will help with regards Chrome but have you "enabled" NPAPI   read here https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/6213033  Don't forget to scroll to bottom of "settings page" and click "relaunch now"

There is also an app now for mydlink   here  https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/mydlink-services-plugin/ldibdoepbjbkkcbgndfljnphngpglhbb?utm_source=chrome-app-launcher-info-dialog

I get the LiveView works with compatibility settings. Thought it works only with IE but I can live with it.

Next problem is that I can't log in to the remote playback. It works about same that live but when I try to log in I get the error message that it does not get connect to the remote playback server. With LiveView everything works so it can't be that server is offline or something. I even tried this with same computer where remote server is and I get the same error message. Any glues what is the problem?

What version of DVC are you using and what versions of the browsers were you using? What OS platform are you using?
