Title: DCS-7010L camera not resetting
Post by: shahbazz on January 24, 2016, 11:11:37 PM
I am not able to reset camera , after doing the hard reset, the red colour doesn`t change. Green light just blinks and light goes back to red. Please give me a solution to fix the problem. The problem started when i tried to upgrade the camera firmware without making the camera ip static.

Borked firmware? What version did you load? Also, why is a static IP needed?

I tried to upload my camera firmware from 1.04 to 1.07. Everything was fine until i started the firmware upgrade.

But after some seconds, camera got off and became red. It never came back to green. I tried to hard reset it many times. Now, Green light blinks after resetting for half a second and it goes back to red and stays red. While upgrading the camera was in DHCP mode.

After doing a factory reset, did you set up the camera using the set up SW?
Also check the main host routers DHCP client table to see if the router gave an new IP address.

No, after doing the factory reset, i couldn`t turn on my camera. What do you mean by SW?

My router ip address is static and it didn`t change.

Do a factory reset and use the setup software to set up the camera?
