Printing Issues
« on: March 26, 2011, 08:38:33 AM »

I was having issues with the drives locking up and decided to upgrade to the latest firmware to hopefully resolve this issue. After the upgrade though I can't print.

The device sees the printer. However, nothing gets spooled.

My printer is Samsung ML-2510.

Tried from 2 different computers (XP 32 bit and Windows 7 64 bit).

By latest do you mean the 1.09 firmware version?

Yeah... sorry I should have been more specific.

I did verify that when I unplug the printer from the NAS on the web app it does show it being removed and when I plug it back in it does recognize it properly.

In trying to resolve this issue I did install fun_plug to try and Telnet into the device to see if I could restart some kind of service. This didn't help. However, I did encounter an issue with the install of this. The instructions say to put the files on Volume_1 however, in my case I was required to put it on Volume_2 to get this to install properly. I wonder if this maybe be part of the issue.
