On the new action screen after you selected send email and sent notification, below that (above DONE) make sure to enable "Send notifications when this action runs", then tap Done.

Under My Actions, make sure that action is enabled.

I assume that is done. Not sure why the notifications or email are not working. Let me contact the D-Link camera guys to see what could cause that.

Also, try turning off the email responder and just set notifications.

Email and notifications need to go through the mydlink servers then back to your device so possibly the mydlink server in your region is slow or something is happening there, or if the Internet connection is sluggish it could affect it.

Did you purchase the camera outside your region?

:D I make it work :D

basically is not myDLINK home that was not working (well actually the built in push notification doesnt work).. the DLINK HOME application needs another application to be linked in order to do "actions" as sending notifications email etc..and to be honest is very smart as you can create all the actions you fancy..even turning on the lights..

DLINK HOME needs to be paired with IFTTT app that stands for: If This Then That.

So you need to download IFTTT app, register, pair DLINK HOME with IFTTT and from IFTTT you create you own actions when the camera or a sensor connected with your DLINK camera detect something.

You can turn on the light if you have a smart lamp once motion is detected, send a Facebook message and so on.. from IFTTT you can assign actions triggered by different devices, create your on smart app and publish if you want.

doing that you bypass DLINK server as you are independent and you have more choices.

Yes the mydlink Home line of products are IFTTT-compliant and will work with other IFTTT products. I'm glad you found a solution.

The mydlink Home app should work sending emails and notifications. I will test my 8200LH camera when I get home (it isn't plugged in at the moment) and see if I can replicate your problem.

The notification system for mydlink Home devices seemed to have been fixed last week. I do see notifications from the camera so it must have been a backend issue.
