Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your modem? Look at the sticker under modem.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the modems web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

How do you have FTP configured on the modem?
Please post a picture of the configuration: Adding Screenshots In A Post

Also, you may need to disable uPnP if you use and Port Forwarding configurations.
Port configurations for external may need to use port 21 then assign a different port to the internal port side of the modem, say 50117 for example. I don't think you can use port 21 for both internal and external ports.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

Are you using port forwarding (single port) or port triggering(multiple)?

Try assigning in port forward an unused port number that's valid (50117 might work?) And forward that to your internal machine on port 21.

Then just ftp your external ip address with the external pretty 50117 in this example.

Hello Everybody,

Well the status is this I posted a call at Dlink site and they yesterday called me. They were saying to upgrade the firmware to AU_3.06 I was using AU_3.01 and then after that restore the router to default settings which I did but dear all no use the problem remain the same now the interesting scenario is this that when I open port of RDP 3389 and check it at http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ it showed port is open but when I open the port at port forwarding section in Dlink DSL-2750B for PPTP 1723 the same site port is closed although port forwarding is configured at router. Any ideas why this is happening

Dlink guys failed to resolve this issue

So please guide me. Kindly note I am not using port triggering I am using port forwarding

Thanks & regard,
Osama Faheem

See if the configuration helps:

Not sure of PPTP will be an issue here or not...
