Title: DHCP on DGS-1210-48
Post by: lmontalvan on May 26, 2014, 09:17:49 AM
Hi everyone.

I have one DGS-1210-48
firmware: 2.03.001

The server DHCP is a Cisco 3750, but when connect one PC the port, this don't obtain ip address.

The port have tagged the vlan.
How assing DHCP in the all ports of the switch?

The port 01 of the D-Link is not member (is trunk?) and connect to the cisco.

I hope you can help me.

Hi, lmontalvan

Most likely you have an error in vlan configuration on your D-Link or Cisco switch.

Read the official documentation on VLAN configuration first.

D-Link DGS-1210-48 User Manual -> 802.1Q VLAN:
http://dlink-manuals.org/dlink-dgs-1210-10p-16-24-48-user-manual/42/ (http://dlink-manuals.org/dlink-dgs-1210-10p-16-24-48-user-manual/42/)

Cisco 3750 -> Configuring VLANs:
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3750x_3560x/software/release/12-2_55_se/configuration/guide/3750xscg/swvlan.html (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3750x_3560x/software/release/12-2_55_se/configuration/guide/3750xscg/swvlan.html)

I have this problem as well. I have spent countless hours reading the Cisco docs about VLANs and STILL don't understand. I have the DGS-1100-16 switch.

My design goal is:

- Port 16 DHCP Server
- 2-3 VLANs that pull IP from DHCP server
- Port 1 is Trunk connected to N66U router (Internet)

Lost.
