DAP1522 bridge to DSL2740B
« on: August 24, 2010, 01:31:31 AM »

Looking for some help with a DAP1522

We have a DSL2740B Router which has been working flawlessly for over 2 years, we needed to expand our network so decided to bridge the connections by using a DAP1522 in bridge mode as our offices are in separate buildings.

We have a 65% signal there and it is quite quick using a laptop connected to it.

I installed the configuration manually and on the device information page it all seems correctly installed.

However i cannot access the internet or our shared network files.

I have tried 3 firmwares on the DAP1522 1.02, 1.10 & 1.21 but all to no avail.

Any ideas?

If there is any more info that will help get to the bottom of this let me know

Many Thanks

Jamie

Did you check the status of the DAP-1522 to see if it really is wirelessly connected to your router? Check Status>Device Info

Since it says connected, try pinging your dsl from a computer that is wired to your dap1522 just to check if you are communicating with the router since status says connected.

Ok i have now got it linked and talking, however it will drop out once every 3 or so hours, the only way i have found to get it is to pull the power out then wait for it to reboot.

Is this the norm for this router?

We use an IP phone so this connection has to be pretty reliable.

Is it a case of upgrading the firmware?

Also just noticed im connected but the IP address of the DAP1522 is unaccesable from my browser.

My apologies for not replying. Was out for a while... Were you able to resolve this?
