Title: DIR-868L rev A1 and DD-WRT
Post by: happyhere on December 17, 2017, 07:55:46 PM

anyone here using 868L revA1 with DD-WRT? which firmware version do you use?

I have mine with dd-wrt firmware DD-WRT v3.0-r30432 std (08/16/16).
It is setup as repeater bridge via 5Ghz (main router is 885L), so far it is stable with daily reboot at 5am.

I'm currently testing the most recent version of WRT. There seems to be an issue in router mode that has to deal with a SFE, forwarding engine not working properly:

It's causing the router to stop working all together for unknown reasons on my network as main host router. I don't know if this would effect yours if your using it as a repeater. I presume it shouldn't.

I presume you wanting to upgrade yours since it's effected by the KRACK issue while in a client mode?

Thanks Furry. I will stay with old stable dd-wrt for now, the repeater mode is stable and I dont get complaint from household :)

I saw in ddwrt forum that latest build for 868L have fixed the boot loop.
For Krack, not really worried for now.
My next 868L firmware upgrade is maybe Q2 next year
as I work hundred of miles from this house (not enough time to troubleshoot).

Ya, good idea. if it's working, don't fix it.  ;)

Enjoy.
