I just wanted to say that 1.16b3 seems to be the best post 1.02 fw I've used so far.  If you haven't tried it you might want to give it a go before declaring the 4500 to be a total loss and give up on it.  If you're still on 1.02 don't you dare flash to anything yet.

I've been on f/w 1.16b not too long after it's release and didn't see a difference performance wise with PSN. It's been almost 7 months after 1.12 put the steel boots on the dgl-4500 I have, kinda hard not to be looking forward to the next one in the series.

I see the claims of those that have 1.15 and don't have issues with their PS3. Yet something tells me if they ever tried 1.02 and then any f/w after, they would notice a difference right away.

I know dlink is fixing what they can when they can. I guess the issues I have just happen to be on the bottom of that to do list.

Thanks for the post, and I agree.

I have read much that makes post v1.02 sound fine, but ... so many more posts of folks having issues, that I've decided to just keep the current firmware, till either I replace the router, or something is released without all the issues.

I'm on 1.15 as well and experiencing the same things mine freezes up every couple of minutes and then goes into restarts after I unplug it for 10 seconds mainly when I try to play Xbox live but more or less randomly. If I cycle it on and off sometimes I can get it to stay up and once I start playing Xbox live I can somewhat lock it online until I quit then it goes back to the same old same old. I wish Lycan would trade me a router because it is quiet frustrating to be bumped offline so much so often. Every f/w since 1.02 has done it and even at 1.02 it wasn’t bad but still restarted randomly at least then it was bearable.

I bought mine (DGL4500)back in Jan,2009...

I'm still using FW1.02 without any problems by far...

as long as I tell, not more than 5 times it resets itself in totally 4 months usage...

I would like to try the newest FW releases ...but with a router that cost well over US$150+,

I expect it's stable and reliable~~

I'm not gonna take the chance if it may screw thing up since I can't go back to default FW (FW1.02) if that's the case...
