Title: DCS-2210L - focus
Post by: RYAT3 on September 01, 2016, 09:10:55 PM

The focus ring appears to ship straight up at 12 o'clock.  This leads to a blurry image at almost any distance.

I found that some where around 10:30-11:00am is good for any distance.  You might need to go further left for really close though.

So I am more happy with the camera now... the FOV is massive... (as defined in the specs). It handles more image than 2.5 DCS-2230's stacked (in other ones, one pointed straight ahead, and 1 pointing above it).  But compacting that much image into the same space - you don't get as much detail at distance.

Can you take a capture of before and after and post pictures here in the forum?

Thanks for this info.

This WAS my new favorite camera. Great FOV, and image quality. But after only a few days, image is very poor. Will try your suggestion with focus ring.
