Title: Both of my lights are Green but still no connection
Post by: Martym on December 23, 2016, 11:00:18 AM
I have TWC and I bought this router add wifi to my cable internet so my phones and laptops can connect but the unit will no connect at all through the any of the lan ports. It does show that the wizard set up a 2.4 ghz network but I can't even connect to facebook sitting 3 feet away from it. I did not create the faster 5ghz network either.

If your Arris modem is acting as the main host router, I recommend using the DIR-810L as a 2ndary wired AP using this configuration:

My modem is not acting as router cause they want me to pay $5 a month for that function so I decided to buy the Dlink router but it does not work. That is way I am here trying to see why.

You might upgrade to v1.03 and see if it helps. Follow the FW update process.

Also might see if your ISP requires any Mac Cloning. I know when I visited my family in KY, the ISP they had was using Mac Cloning for routers. I had to use it for the one I was using while I was there some years back.
