Wow. This is really awesome, something I've been waiting for!!!

I guess you need a separate torrent client for this to work?

Thanks so much for this package!!!

Heheh I finished setting it up not ten minutes ago! Now I'm waiting for the next scan to see if it works... Thanks again! I wonder how well my 320L can handle it...

How do I get the DNS-340L package to work? There is no Python 2.7 package for the DNS-340L.

Hi, I am using a 320L, have Python and SickRage enabled but when I launch sickrage the page cannot be found and wont load.

I installed the latest version of python and sickrage, here are the packages used:-
DNS-320L SickRage Package v1.00_03102015_UA
DNS-320L python Package v1.02_11272014_UA

Only main diffrence I can see is that the signiture on the addons screen has an exclamation.

Any one any ideas?

Had the same the first time I installed the packages... So I uninstalled them, installed Python; rebooted, installed SR; rebooted again, SR didn't start right away but after a couple of minutes it was up! Try that...

I have this problem too on a 320-L

I install Python, run it, reboot, install Sickrage, run it, reboot and then I go to configure but... the page http://local-ip-address:8081 can't contact the server. I use Plex so I should be able to contact the NAS on LAN and also I set up port-forwarding on my client for 8081. Still, no luck with Sickrage  :(

Any tips for me, please?

There was a problem with openssl in the addon python (http://dlink.vtverdohleb.org.ua/Add-On/#python). Fixed. You need to reinstall the addon python (http://dlink.vtverdohleb.org.ua/Add-On/#python).

I uninstalled both python and SickRage. Then, installed python 1.03, started it, reboot, installed SickRage 1.00, reboot, and started again.
Still, cannot reach the page 192.168.1.3:8081 that is opened when I click on 'Launch interface'.

Again, I'm on a 320-L and my ports are opened and forwarded.

If I can supply more useful informations, please let me know.

Thank you for your help :)

While I can't confirm or deny the problem. Asked a question to other users of the DNS-320L just SickRage, waiting for an answer.
On the DNS-325/327L/345 I checked - works. Why are there problems with the DNS-320L while can't answer :(

Hello vtverdohleb, first, let me say you are doing some amazing work for our NAS devices,

second, I belive the problem with the DNS-320L addon is in the start.sh script, it says:
$path/SickBeard.py --daemon --config=$path/etc/config.ini --pidfile=$path/SickRage.pid

where it should say:
/usr/bin/python $path/SickBeard.py --daemon --config=$path/etc/config.ini --pidfile=$path/SickRage.pid

edited it myself and it appears to be working.

Also, if you could make a CouchPotato addon that would be great. I tried making some addons a little while ago and didnt have much luck (incluiding SickRage, though I got it running, it didnt seem to connect to the internet itself).

Also, if you could tell me how dou you sign the addons so it appears a green mark at the addons list? I did a simple addon to start the MySQL daemon and would like to sign it, maybe upload it.

Thanks again.

$path/SickBeard.py --daemon --config=$path/etc/config.ini --pidfile=$path/SickRage.pid
where it should say:
/usr/bin/python $path/SickBeard.py --daemon --config=$path/etc/config.ini --pidfile=$path/SickRage.pid

Thanks, will fix. I don't understand why on other models run without specifying "/usr/bin/python". The path "/usr/bin/python" is specified in the header of the script...

Also, if you could make a CouchPotato addon that would be great.

OK. I'm on my NAS has launched CouchPotato, I will compile the addon.

Top Secret! ;)

second, I belive the problem with the DNS-320L addon is in the start.sh script, it says:
$path/SickBeard.py --daemon --config=$path/etc/config.ini --pidfile=$path/SickRage.pid

where it should say:
/usr/bin/python $path/SickBeard.py --daemon --config=$path/etc/config.ini --pidfile=$path/SickRage.pid

edited it myself and it appears to be working.

I tried to modify start.sh as instructed, but still SickRage doesn't start properly.
If I can provide more useful info on this problem, let me know.

EDIT: It works now!  ;D Thanks to masterxilef and vtverdohleb!

I made the error of clicking on the update notice on SickRage yesterday. Today I can't seem to load the page in any way, even after restarting both the addon and the NAS multiple times. I also tried updating python to the last version but nothing changed.

Anyone else is experiencing this? Any solution?

Also, if nothing else, I could try installing again the SickRage addon downloaded from here, but I would VERY MUCH try to keep all my settings and database, since I spent much time on configuring it. Some help on this?

(some info: DNS 320-L , Sickrage v. 1.00 , python v. 1.04 , all port forwarded )

That's weird, updating it should not break it like that, I update it all the time and had have no issues.
Anyway, I recommend you install the elfinder addon, with that you can browse to the sickrage addon folder (Volume_1/Nas_Prog/SickRage) and make a backup, I belive all the important files are in the config folder. Good luck.

I'm going crazy.  ???

After making sure to have a backup of config.ini and my sickbeard.db , I reinstalled SickRage. Still, no luck.
Then, I remembered this:

Quote
second, I belive the problem with the DNS-320L addon is in the start.sh script, it says:
$path/SickBeard.py --daemon --config=$path/etc/config.ini --pidfile=$path/SickRage.pid

where it should say:
/usr/bin/python $path/SickBeard.py --daemon --config=$path/etc/config.ini --pidfile=$path/SickRage.pid

so I edited the file and tried, after rebooting everything, to execute start.sh via PuTTY (SSH).
It says:
Code: [Select]
/usr/bin/python: can't open file '/SickBeard.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory
cat: /apkg.rc: No such file or directory
cat: /apkg.rc: No such file or directory
Continuing in background, pid 12325.
but SickBeard.py exists in the Nas_Prog/SickRage folder on my system.

The maddening thing is that, apart from that update, I didn't do anything unusual, it just stopped working one morning... :(
I can give more details as needed, if anyone can help me solve this mistery...

Thank you very much for any tip.

If you edit the file then it should start automatically after rebooting.

The error you are getting is because the start.sh uses some custom paths variables that are not normally defined.

The easiest thing you can try is navigating manually to the folder (/mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/SickRage, I believe), and then use /usr/bin/python SickBeard.py just to see if that works. You might need to type the folder direction also for the -config and the other flags instead of $path.

Post by: Amaiyume on July 12, 2015, 05:37:15 AM
Changing the path, I was able to start SickRage but still with an error on SickRage.pid (btw what is this file? I don't have it anywhere. Could someone send me this and would it work with my system?)

Also, SickRage doesn't auto-start anymore after reboot! I have to SSH again and "sh start.sh" everytime.

I'll try again removing both SickRage and python and starting from 0 (I hope I can still keep my config and db), but before reporting here I would like to thank masterxilef for his help and assistance.

No problem, glad to help.

Try this, if you can uninstall every addon, or at least python and sickrage and disable al the others.
Reboot.
Install latest python addon.
Install this: https://db.tt/7UQ9h53p (https://db.tt/7UQ9h53p)
It´s my custom sickrage addon with the fix I posted before (and a little bit update altough updating still shoudn't break it).
Enable python first, wait a minute. Then enable sickrage, wait about 5 minutes.
Reboot.
Check if sickrage started.
If all ok, enable/install other addons.

Post by: vtverdohleb on July 13, 2015, 06:33:27 AM
In the script start.sh it is not necessary to add "/usr/bin/python" before "SickBeard.py". The first line of file "SickBeard.py" specifies the path of the Python - "#!/usr/bin/env python2".
The problem can be only if, for some reason does not start the add-on "python". For this reason, do not create "/usr/bin/python2".
In this case, you can do so:
Code: [Select]
$path/../python/bin/python $path/SickBeard.py --daemon --config=$path/etc/config.ini --pidfile=$path/SickRage.pidor:
Code: [Select]
/mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/python/bin/python $path/SickBeard.py --daemon --config=$path/etc/config.ini --pidfile=$path/SickRage.pid
Script start.sh only runs so:
Code: [Select]
/mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/SickRage/start.sh /mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/SickRage

Hi guys, i'm having the exact same issue as @Amaiyume, except that i'm using an 327L.
Installed python, rebooted the 327L, installed SickRage, rebooted again, then i activated python waited about 2mins and activated SickRage.
When i try to access SickRage's interface, it says "Connection Refused". Also i noticed that the SickRage "signature icon" under add-on management shows a yellow flag with an exclamation point.

@masterxilef, is it possible for you to make a custom SickRage package with the fix you mentioned for the 327L? Or maybe show me how to do a custom package myself?

Thanks!

EDIT: Also, i have noticed that this happens with the CouchPotato add-on aswell. Could it be something with the python package?

I currently have no way to check. Try with older versions of python:
DNS-327L python Package v1.02_11272014_UA (http://dlink2.vtverdohleb.org.ua/Add-On/DNS-327L%20python%20Package%20v1.02_11272014_UA)

DNS-320L python Package (http://dlink.vtverdohleb.org.ua/Add-On/#DNS-320L%20python%20Package%20v1.02_11272014_UA)

To restart the NAS after reinstalling python is not required. Enough to start python and then stop/start SickRageTV.

Did you tried with vtverdohleb version?
If you have access to ssh or telnet and type python -V
that should bring the python version installed, if it works, then python is working, so the problem is the addon.
Have you tried putting your DNS in DMZ on the router?

Yup, i've tried with vtverdohleb's version of the addon, his version gives me an "Connection Refused" error.
Your version gave me an "404 Not Found".

Unfortunately i don't have ssh/telnet access, but i can try and obtain it... What did you use, Fonz fun_plug?

I'm trying to connect through my lan using the 327L internal ip address, DMZ is not necessary in this case :P

Today checked:
1. Installed a new HDD in NAS. Formatted.
2. Installed python (http://dlink2.vtverdohleb.org.ua/Add-On/DNS-327L%20python%20Package%20v1.04_07212015). Launched.
3. Installed SickRage (http://dlink2.vtverdohleb.org.ua/Add-On/DNS-327L%20SickRage%20Package%20v1.00_07212015). Launched. Run SickRage 1-2 minutes. Until start gave a message "Connection refused". When SickRage start the web interface is opened without any errors.

Conclusion: with python & SickRage no problems. The reason in something else.

You need to make a run SickRage manually via telnet or ssh and see what the error will display.
Code: [Select]
/mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/SickRage/start.sh /mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/SickRage

Also, is this normal?
Code: [Select]
Unknown current version number: If you've never used the SickRage upgrade system before then current version is not set.

In the package there is no file "config.ini", it is created when you first start.
But when you remove the addon file.ini file is saved in /mnt/HD_a4/.systemfile/.SickRage/ and after new installation returns to /mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/SickRage/etc/
I believe that the incompatibility of the configs files between different versions of SickRage is a significant flaw with the authors SickRage

I don't know, this is a question for the forum "SickRage"

Sorry to repeat myself but any chance to get a revised add-on for the DNS-320. I really don't get how to fix it myself.
Thanks.

Is there a guide to get this working? Most of the time it will not connect to the net when I launch Sickrage.

This is excellent, ive been torrenting for many years, also ran a couple torrent sites in my time. Im now at a stage where work takes over and this is brilliant for me as it finds and sends to transmission, perfect!

My question is, how do i install an unrar program so i can set it in the post processing as currently get an error when i check the box. Id like to come in from work in the morning and the tv shows are ready and waiting for me to stream so no more messing around.

In a massive noob when it comes to anything linux so if anybody could help me it would be much appriciated!

DNS-320L - Firmware version 1.04b12, fun plug is also installed.

Following all the drama regarding the SickRage/SickRageTV forks ( for more info: here (https://www.reddit.com/r/sickrage/)or here (http://pastie.org/private/m7lryrqqihyeyl1supuepq)), I have a question:

is there an 'easy' way to switch to the new repo, maybe editing a file or two, without breaking the whole addon?

I know vtverdohleb isn't actively supporting this anymore, but maybe him or someone else could give some insight on this matter?

Thank you

Please update sickrage.

I see on the logs that SickRage automatically updated every time you start to the current version. I do not understand what you are offering to upgrade?
