The settings were changed on my Dir-860L trying to set up it up as secondary wireless access point off of a dsl modem/router, now I cannot connect to the 860L settings menu using the default ip address. Is there a way to physically reset the router to default settings or did I just bricked the unit.

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
If your using the router as a wired AP, then you need to log in to the new IP address that may have been assigned instead of 192.168.0.1 if that was changed. If not, then use the button on the bottom of the router for 10 seconds to reset the router.
If you want to continue to use the router as an AP, please follow this:

Thanks for the info. I found and used the reset button and now I can access the router configuration setting. I will carefully try the guide provide in your reply. My DSL provider replaced my modem/only unit with a modem/wireless router combination and it does not transmit the 5g band. I'm trying to use my Dir-860L as an AP for the 5g band only off the main router.
