New DC932L error on login today
« on: June 23, 2015, 10:02:12 PM »

When attempting to login to mydlink account using Ubuntu Linux with  Firefox 38.0 I got this error message:

Unsupported Browser Detected!

Java is up-to-date.  It worked flawlessly up until today.  When I attempted to login using Windows Vista and Firefox,
I was asked to download an .msi plugin.  I did that, and then I could complete the login.  Has Dlink changed something
to cause this?  If so, what is the fix?
I certainly do not wish to continue to use Windows OS just to check on my camera.  BTW, I tried two different routers;
upnp and pnp are enabled on the camera.

Regards.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

Thank you;  I have looked around for a Canadian Dlink Support telephone number, but cannot find one.  Would you have such, and could you post it?  If you cannot post it, could you PM me with it, please.

Thank you again.  I called support, and reported/explain the problem.  It was agreed it was not a hardware problem, but likely a problem with the dlink server improperly detecting the Firefox web browser.  He will report the problem to "those concerned".  He suspected it may take a few days to resolve.
I will check daily, and report here if anything changes.

On another note, at least with this problem. this time I am at home where the camera is located, and not 2000 miles away.  :)

Nothing much new to report after waiting about a week.  The case ID (C6560066) is assigned by dlink.  I will keep checking on mydlink.com; it was not working as of this morning (July 1st).

@FurryNutz...Yes, I am able to log onto the camera using the ip address on the local lan (obtained from the router), and see the video, and I can also tick the setup tab to change the settings on the camera.  This using Firefox, but I still cannot access the camera via mydlink.com.  Not hearing anything more from dlink support; maybe they are celebrating July 1st/4th?

July 24th...This afternoon I upgraded Firefox to version 40.0 (the latest nightly), and completely disabled noscript.  Mydlink.com still detects it as an unsupported browser.  This problem is getting old real fast.  Still nothing further from dlink support.

Yes, I called them on June 24th (see my post above).  You gave me the phone number :)  and subsequently around the 1st of July you indicated that because of the holiday, you would contact them (by phone?) after that holiday weekend wrt to the problem.   I wonder what your results were from that phone call?

I guess I am getting a bit dejected...it seems to me that some sort of browser check is set to deny access, rather than just warn, that my "user experience" may not be what I expect, when I look at my camera output, when using mydlink.com.  I might add here, that if I look at the camera by via the local url address, I can see the camera normally.  That indicates a problem with mydlink server and/or it's software.

Bob

Does that same thing happen with IE?

I recommend contacting them back again and ask to be escalated... Canada handles there own support and development which the USA cant do much about...
