Title: Webcam7 with a 942L
Post by: cnyweather on May 01, 2013, 06:33:23 AM
By chance anyone using a DCS-942L with Webcam 7 or Webcam XP?

I love the program and have it running my 930. It's not in the list of supported cams but I did have it working once and cant get it again. I'm trying to work with the developer to support it but wondering if anyone with 1 has had success. I've got 2 I'd like to stream with it along with the 930.

Thanks!
Tony

We also maintain a list of third party software that the forum community has tested with D-Link network cameras here:

Hi Tony. did you find a solution?
I run a cumulus weather station and need the webcam but I haven't found anything with the 942L, except that it used to work with WebcamXP and YAWCAM but with neither since a firmware update and a new release of Webcam

Actually it's streaming fine. Here's a link. http://cnyweather.com/livecam7.php (http://cnyweather.com/livecam7.php)

It does crash every few days for some reason. My 930 runs on another computer and runs flawlessly.
I'll try and get a screenshot of the settings if you'd like when I am home tonight or tomorrow.
