Viewing the DCS-932L from remote location and Advanced Settings
« on: November 22, 2011, 12:50:46 PM »

I am viewing my 932L from a remote location using my Mydlink account. I can see the image real good, however when I click on Camera Info and try to click on Advanced Settings it tries to load and then stops. It does the same thing when I'm on the computer that is connected to the camera. Is there a way to get to the Settings by typing in an address in the browser bar?

I periodically (~once per month) experience an identical issue with my DCS-932L, where I can see video using mydlink, but have no remote or local access to the DCS-932L web interface.

I've found that unplugging/plugging the power to the camera and waiting a while sometimes fixes the problem. As a last ditch effort, you can reset the camera to the factory defaults and reconfigure.

I post what happens in a few days. I'm out of town now and won't get back until later in the week. Thanks.   :)

Sorry it took so long to answer, but it didn't work. I tried unplugging/plugging back in but nothing is different.  :(

i seem to be having the same problem... i can view the image via mydlink... and when i go to advance settings i can see the video on the live video tab... but when i try and go to the motion detection tab and set the blocks for motion detection i am unable to see any image? i did see a image when i was on the same network as the camera but now that i am 300 miles away i can not? i spent a hour with tech support and they have no option of help? i have updated java tried different browsers.. etc.. etc... it is very frustrating... i am on a mac computer.. any help would be appreciated...

p.s. i have 3 DCS 932l cameras and they are all acting the same....

and on another note... one of my cameras is triggering motion? it is seeing some sort of lite streak that runs verticaly down the frame? any ideas?
