DHP-309AV Powerline AV 500 mini adapter

Can I use one of these plugs to replace an old plug that no longer works?

I have 5 other (not D-Link) internet type plugs already in my house, they are used for PC's and consoles.  The plug on one of my desktop PC's has died and they no longer make the model and I want to know if the D-Link 309 would be a suitable replacement for my old plug, I will only be using one on my PC and will be keeping my old ones that are used for the router and other devices around my house as I have had no problems with them.
I use them for normal internet and streaming from PC's to TV and media devices for sharing films, pictures etc within my home.

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations

• What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
• What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?

I presume it should work fine. You may need a host adapter on the main side to connect it to.
I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
