dir-628 and possible use with wireless g extender
« on: March 12, 2012, 09:33:47 AM »

I have a DIR-628 with a, g and n active. 2 computers are using n and 1 uses g. The g computer is the furthest away and gets very little of the signal (it can't be moved). I have an old g extender left over from my g network. My question is can the old g extender be used to extend the g portion of signal?

I tired once to make it work and gave up. Is it even possible or did I just miss something while trying to add it in?

Thanks ahead of time for any help.

I would presume it could be. I would test one this first. Set the 628 from mixed ALL modes to mixed G and N and see if the signal comes up some. If not, refer to the Mrf information about using the extender.
