Title: Cannot connect to 5g network
Post by: Stephen Aussie on May 16, 2017, 04:12:07 AM
Hey there,

Well setup was a complete pain but I got there. Using WPS it connects to my 2.4g network on my router and works. My router is a dual band router so I want to put my cameras on 5g. Unfortunately, no matter how I try to do this it causes the cameras or setup to freeze. Changing the wifi network via the IP webpage seems to cause the device to loose its settings and I have to start the setup again. WPS always seems to connect only to my 2.4g so after doing a factory reset on the CAM in the mydlink lite app I choose NO to wps and choose my 5g network from the list that appeared. Now the install just endlessly spins trying to connect to the camera.

Any idea how I can get this to work? Using 1.04 firmware.

Thanks

Stephen

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?
What is the distance between the Camera and the main host router?
