Title: HELP ! Trying to access old D Link 323
Post by: Simon M on June 04, 2021, 08:55:42 AM
Hi.  My D-Link 323 was set up by a friend some years ago & for whatever reason it was disconnected & has been in the loft for some time now.  The laptops etc that used to connect to it are long gone.

I am trying to get back into it as it has lots of photos on it (yes yes, i know i should have backed up - my wife has reminded me  ;)).

I have even found the CD Rom, but i just can't seem to access. I have managed to get to an admin screen which asks for a password i don't have.  Leaving the password blank also didn't help.

Will a reset form the bak of the device help me ?  WIll this also delete the data from the device ?

I am not overly techy so a search has so far not helped me as i don;t understand a lot of the terms being used.

Thanks so much

Reset will not delete the data on the drives.

If you still need to resolve this look at my recent post .... W10 has blocked protocol, if you enable it again you can access (after mapping of drive)
