Greeetings,

I am attempting manual configuration through a web browswer at "dlinkap.local", and the utility is asking for a password before I begin. What is that password?

Here's a little background. I successfully set up and configured the extender a few months ago. Yesterday, I had to replace my main router with a new router. In trying to reconnect my extender to the new router, I did the following and encountered a problem.
1) I successfully located my extender on my laptop by using the laptoper's wireless utility.
2) I successfully connected to the extender using the extender's name and password that I previously created.
3) I opened up a browser and went to http://dlinkap.local. I was brought to a page that asked for login and password credentials. The login name was pre-filled with "Admin." The password box was empty. I do not remember seeing this login page before or creating a password separate from the one that I use to connect to the extender in the first place (step 2 above). I tried the password that I used in step 2 (as well as "Admin" and "admin"), but it didn't work. Without the password, I seem to be locked out of the manual configuration.

Any ideas are appreciated.

Default PW is a blank PW. If you factory reset the DAP, you should be able to log in and get it configured. Review the User Manual for log in and set up information.
