Post by: aspar74 on November 17, 2017, 02:59:10 AM
Hello, could you give us all the url enabled on this webcam?
I've found this:
http://[username]:[password]@XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/image/jpeg.cgi

Thank you
Alfonso

Any news on this yet?
I know you like your cloud but for those of us who prefer local control it would be nice to have those URLs that you so obviously have but fail to share.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email. USA support and chat 24/7 as well.
Let us know how it goes please.

I just spoke to support in Sweden. According to them there is no .cgi-links ..

Apparently they are wrong.

Here's the URLs that I've found.

Video Only:
http://admin:<password>@<ip address>/video/ACVS-H264.cgi?profileid=1

Audio Only:
http://admin:<password>@<ip address>/av2/ACAS-ULAW.cgi

Theese seem to work as the browser start downloading the .cgi-files, how ever I can't get the streams to show in VLC or iSpy.  :-\

Here's the url for VLC/iSPY with Video+Audio:
http://[username]:[password]@XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/video/flv.cgi
http://[username]:[password]@XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/av2/flv.cgi

There's also this other url, but requires Digest Auth:
http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/video/mpegts.cgi
http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/av2/mpegts.cgi

This cam advertise itself as RTSP capable, but I have yet to find a working url for RTSP.

Some CGI-URL for DCS-8000LH

NIPCA-API (Network IP Camera Application Programming Interface)

model=DCS-8000LH
brand=D-Link
version=1.01
build=01
hw_version=A
NIPCA-API = ver. 1.9.7

Syntax:
http://UserName:Password@CameraIP:Port/<CGI-URL>?<parameter>=<value>[&<parameter>=<value>...]

Where:
<CGI-URL> is a URL of a CGI, e.g. "/common/info.cgi"

NIPCA-API details and more CGI-URL possibly compatible with DCS-8000LH are e.g. here:
http://www.trendnet.com/_uploads/helpdesk/tv-ip612xx_cgi-10.pdf (http://www.trendnet.com/_uploads/helpdesk/tv-ip612xx_cgi-10.pdf)

Camera configuration:
Run CGI-URL without parameters to obtain a list of available parameters and their values.

Camera info
/common/info.cgi

Check wifi networks and signal strength
/config/wlansurvey.cgi
/config/wireless.cgi

Get stream informations
/config/stream_info.cgi
vprofile1=H264
vprofileurl1=/video/ACVS-H264.cgi?profileid=1

Network config, e.g. change port
/config/network.cgi?httpport=XXXX&httpexternalport=YYYY

Camera name, location
/config/camera_info.cgi

Change wifi
/config/wireless.cgi?essid=Name&passphrase=Password

Microphone, its gain
/config/mic.cgi?enable=no&volume=0

Add/delete user or group, change password
The command changes the admin’s password successfully. However, it is not possible then to use that password to log in. I could create a new user in the group Users but only with a blank password.
/config/user_mod.cgi?name=UserName&password=XXXX&group=Users
/config/user_del.cgi?name=UserName

/config/user_list.cgi
/config/user_list.cgi?name=admin
/config/user_list.cgi?name=UserName
/config/group_list.cgi

UPNP disable
/config/upnp.cgi?upnpav=off&upnpcp=off

/config/sensor_info.cgi
/config/sensor.cgi?flicker=50&sharpness=40

Disable motion detection
/config/motion.cgi?enable=no

Disable audio detection
/config/audio_detection.cgi?enable=no

LED on/off
/config/led.cgi?led=off

Infra off, day mode
/config/icr.cgi?mode=day&night_irled=off

Reboot, reset
/config/system_reboot.cgi?reboot=go
/config/system_reset.cgi?reset=go

Get a JPEG image
/image/jpeg.cgi

Date, time
/config/datetime.cgi

Get URL entry of specified profile
/config/rtspurl.cgi?profileid=1

Check video profile
/config/video.cgi?profileid=1

Change codec of profile 1 to MJPEG stream and back to H264
/config/video.cgi?profileid=1&codec=MJPEG
/config/video.cgi?profileid=1&codec=H264

Watch MJPEG stream, after the codec change, in web browser
http://UserName:Password@CameraIP:Port/video/mjpg.cgi

In browser (FF 52.8.1esr) LAN address http://192.168.0.xxx/image/jpeg.cgi works (requests Username and Password) and, after changing codec to MJPEG, http://192.168.0.115/video/mjpg.cgi also works.
But why would DynDNS web addresses like http://xxxxx.dlinkddns.com:xxx/image/jpeg.cgi and http://xxxxx.dlinkddns.com:xxx/video/mjpg.cgi not work, even if including Username and Password in the links ?

Cam firmware NOT updated (is 1.01.01), - and one apparently needs to stay away from updates for the time being !

Any feedback certainly appreciated before cams go back to shop (absence of browser setup is a royal pain).

Newsflash : Live video stopped working, no MJPEG, no H264, no mydlink.com video nor sound. Cams go back to shop for refund !!

DON'T UPDATE FW to 2.0

and you can continue w/o problems.

(I bought the cams to access them directly!)

I presume the direct connection was a security concern thus D-Link may have removed that method of connection in v2.xx FW. Up to users if they want to take that into consideration or not with this model camera.  ???

So, there is no way to access these cameras directly?
Or even incorporating them in a Vera home automation system.
Junk.
Got them today, returning them tomorrow.
That was definitely the last time I bought Dlink stuff.

The 8xxxLH series is app only. Only 4 out of 30+ d-link camera skus do not have a web UI. Also do not assume ALL cameras work with Vera and other 3rd party systems. It is best to do a little research before purchasing. Sorry the 8000s did not work for you.

In this case could you please provide some info how to downgrade to 1.X. This product is useless with 2.X. If direct HTTP/RTSP is not possible at least provide some means to access through MYDLINK.

HTTP access to the DCS-8000LH is possible with 2.xx.xx firmware!

Like many others here, I was frustrated with the cloud lockin after buying a new DCS-8000LH with 2.01.03 firmware originally. So I started out with the intent to see if OpenWrt support is feasible. It turned out that getting HTTP access to the camera with local streaming is much easier than that.  I ended  up with a couple of really simple tools, doing the initial Bluetooth setup without using the app and replacing the mydlink tools with a lighttpd and telnetd startup script instead.

You can find my docs and the tools here: https://github.com/bmork/defogger

Linux is currently required. But creating an alternative Android app using the code examples and docs should be pretty easy for anyone with some app writing knowledge.
