Hi Guys,
This new dir 655 router says it can handle 100 and utpo 1000 speeds. I am using a motorola surfboard cable modem and my desktop is hardwired to the router. It appears I am only getting sppeds of 100. How can I get that up? Any ideas? Please advise. Thanks.
Warm Kind Regards

Desktop NIC (network interface card) needs to be able to handle GIG 1000mb/s or 10/100/1000 If it doesn't then you need to go and buy either PCI or PCI-E GIG NIC. On a laptop some new laptops wired connection does handle 10/100/1000. Wireless N at 300mbps can work better with a GIG desktop than with desktop showing only 100.
