DWA-X1850 Dropping Wifi Connection
« on: August 17, 2022, 11:00:10 AM »

While the device does connect to Wifi, it frequently drops the connection and then reconnects. I have seen this both on driver rev. 1.02 and 1.04. I do not have this problem with another computer with a WiFi6 chip on the motherboard. Do you have a driver revision that corrects this problem or another solution?

What brand and model# host router do you have?
How is the wifi configured on the host router?
What is the distance between the host router and the DWA adapter?

Have you tried the RealTek specific driver from there site?

The router is from Verizon; not sure of the model #.
There's a extender on the same floor where the adapter is located. Dropping of Wifi I'm talking about occurred even when I located the adapter in the same room as the extender.
Which realtek driver would be the correct one to use with the Dlink adapter? Are you telling me Dlink used the Realtek chipset for their adapter?
