How VLAN are working in DLINK world ? (DAP-2590)

(1/1)

ximothep69:
Hello,

i'm new here. Wehave juste bought a few D-LINK DAP-2590 AP.
I'm from HP world, and i get a little bit confused, i couldn't have VLAN working.

To make it simple, we would like have one AP connected to a switch on port n° 24 which one is tagged with VLANS 1, 50 and 66.

I don't understand how to tag those 3 same VLAN on DAP-2590.
We would also to have the AP manageable let's says with IP 192.168.0.1 on VLAN 50.
Other VLAN (1 and 66) will be mapped to WLAN, dedicated to something else.

Here are a few screen shot of the interface, if some one could explain me ... i would be very gratefull.

I would contact Level 2 support at your local DLink support office and ask about this if others don't reply. I'm sorry I don't have more experience with this kind of configuration.

chechito:
usually the vlans for client access only have the corresponding ssid as a untagged member and the lan port as a tagged member, all others not members.

Check de PVID setting correspondly

This setting has to be matching with vlan setting on port of switch on the AP is connected to.

In this manner you can have each ssid traffic isolated on especific vlan
