Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
  • What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
  • What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?

Can try this for the 850L:
Turning a router into an AP.

Set up the 850L as a wired AP LAN to LAN as mentioned in the link. When you go to set the 850Ls IP address, set it to 192.168.1.50 instead of the other address

IF your connecting directly to the 850L you should be able to connect to the routers web page using the new IP address. Do you get Internet thru the 850L when in this mode?

Look at the main router DHCP IP table, check to see if you see the .1.50 address listed there or a different address...it maybe getting a different address...
The .1.50 address is only accessible from the 850L side and should be accessible from the main host router side if it's on the same IP address sub net.

I am connecting directly to the 850L But its unable to connect to the routers web page using the new IP address.

I check the main router DHCP IP table, but i can't
see the .1.50 address listed there or any different address.

Can you ping the new IP address on the 850L while LAN wire connected to it? Disconnect the 850L from the main host router. Set a static IP address ON the PC for 192.168.1.49 and save settings. You should be able to ping the 1.50 address and connect to it's web page using the same address...

Make sure DHCP is OFF (on the 850L) and nothing is plugged into the WAN port on the 850L.

The 192.168.1.50 will not show up on your other router's DHCP table since it is not assigning the dlink router an IP.

You can access the dlink router with 192.168.0.1? When you change it to 192.168.1.xxx make sure you release/renew the IP settings on your computer/devices.

Make sure the DHCP range on the other router does not include 192.168.1.50.

Review this if your setting it up as a LAN to LAN AP:
Turning a router into an AP.
