Title: 5222l red x in mydlink lite app
Post by: RYAT3 on November 05, 2013, 12:31:00 PM
Is it me or everyone?

Had issues this.morning  bringing up the .jpeg... but it started working and the cam was green earlier..

Now its red x, and the .jpeg link is working great.

Other cams have been green all day without issues.

Examined log. My FTP has been failing for a few days.

I could log into the camera, but got text only webpages.

I powered off/on and it's green again.

1st major gum up in a year.

I have one camera: the DCS-933L
Update of firmware for MyDlink lite app offered on my phone. Accepted.
Update failure! No more Green check mark, only a Red "X" appears.
Powered off and on the phone. Red X remains.
Got home and found the camera's light to be solid Red.
Powered off and on camera. Reset camera. No success.
What kind of "upgrade" is this that makes the whole system totally useless?

I recommend updating using a PC wired to the LAN side of the router with the camera and do the upgrade while the camera is connected to a LAN cable connection. Wireless connections can introduce problems during FW updates especially if there is wireless interferences from external sources.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
