1.5TB seagate harddisk and 1.05/1.06
« on: March 17, 2009, 09:26:59 AM »

Hi

I've done a standard install of a Seagate ST31500341AS 1.5TB harddisk on a DNS-323.
It was formatted using 1.05 FW.   Total Hard Drive Capacity:    1475704 MB
So everything seems normal.

I upgraded the firmware to 1.06 which says it supports 1.5 TB.

Should i now reformat the drive to take advantage of what is new in 1.06?
I dont mind doing that as I've no data in it yet.
Any idea what why 1.06 says it support 1.5 TB when mine works already with 1.05?

Thanks

B

I believe it was the 1.5TB RAID1 configuration which was not working in FWv1.05.

I am using 1.5 segate drives x2 on vbod
I would not say I'm problem free. But don't think it's the drives
Check with seagTe and make sure u have the right firmware on your drive

Also whAt are u using the dlink for it will tell us if u need 1.06
