I've updated the firmware to 1.2 and still can't get remote access to work. I connect to the router, but not to the drive.
The other share point mobile app works but not this one.
Help?

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
- Are you wired or wireless connected to the router?
- Has a Factory Reset been performed?
- Was a Factory Reset performed before and after any firmware updates?
Is the USB drive enabled and web access set up on the router?
What Mfr and size is the USB drive?
Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
- What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
- What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
- What ISP Modem service link speeds UP and Down do you have?

I have Large bandwidth via cox cable.
And if I Really Need to collect all that info, reset and reconfigure the router I will, but notice that I can connect remotely with the mobile app wireless or 3G. I can connect wireless locally with the share point app.

So you can connect to the drive remotely with wireless and 3G devices?
And you can connect to the router and routers web page remotely however you can't access the USB drive?

Also the Cloud Camera 1050 works flawlessly local or remote.

With the mobile app I can connect to the router and the drive and files - local and remote, wireless or 3G
With the shareport app I can connect to router and files locally, but only to the router remotely.

The SP app may not support drive access remotely. I would phone contact D-Link support and ask to see what the app supports fully from a remote location.
What version of SP are you using?

The sp app is one and only. 1.1.0.13

What device is this app installed on? Mfr and model?

App is installed on ipad3

I recommend that you phone contact D-Link support and inquire about this app and the support for it.
