Removing SD card to read
« on: April 21, 2017, 10:40:18 PM »

Hi,

I was wondering if one has to take any precautions before removing the sd card to read it from a computer. Is the best way to turn the camera off, then take teh sd read it, put it back and turning on again? is there any option for safe ejection?

Thanks!

I guess ideally you would want to stop all recording - and wait for recordings to finish. (24x7 recording will finish the last file before stopping).
Then you can remove pretty safely without issue.

I thought previously that my removing while recording/power cycling camera while recording was causing the cards to go bad - but I really don't think it to be the case. I  think those cards were just a bad batch several years ago.
