Title: Solid State Drive
Post by: rogerabiddle@yahoo.com on August 17, 2019, 11:41:52 AM
Tried changing to a solid state hard drive.  I formatted it on my PC then formatted again in the DNR and it showed up as Seagate 1.7T FAT32.  There was no playback although it showed the red lines for continuous record on the playback screen.  When connected back to my PC the drive showed the avdata/year/month/date/hour files but there was no data in the hour files.

Hmmm, not sure if SSD is supported with the DNR. I presume HDD had been working before?

Yes.  Strange that it wrote file names but would not save video.

What size was the file?  Remember FAT32 has a file size limit of 4 GB.

OOPS!  It happened to me again. :o  I don't know why, but with another formatting on the pc and again when reattaching to the DNR it has begun working properly.
Apparently an SSD will work.

Are you formatting it FAT32 or NTFS?  :o
