I completely lose the video randomly in my 3 cameras DCS- 935L
« on: December 18, 2015, 08:07:29 AM »

Hi,

I recently bought 3 Dlink DCS-935L cameras and all this happening to me almost daily the same problem and randomly,
The camera loses video completely, I mean, I can enter via https or https to the camera but the "Live Video" tab no picture is seen, not even setting H264 or MJPEG.

The "Frequency" parameter is off, because I already happened the problem of excess white screen light, but this problem is different.

I have set the motion detection and recording to an FTP server, and when it happens the loss of video, not re-record more videos on my FTP server, even if there is activity in front of the camera, this confirms that if completely lost the video in the camera.

The only way the camera works again, it's off and turning on the camera again, it is to clarify that it does not happen to all cameras at the same time, it is random and is one at a time.

I need a root solution to this serious inconvenitente it happens in my 3 cameras.

I hope its quick solution to my problem.

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?
What is the distance between the Camera and the main host router?

Hi,

Hardware Version: A1
Firmware version : 1.07
Located in : Colombia - Sur America.

- My main router is TP -Link Archer C9

- The TP -Link Archer C9 is dual band ( 2.4 and 5 ) , the cameras are configured router with AC in the 5GHz band , work very well and do not suffer from disconnection.

- I have 3 cameras at different distances from the router , one is 2 meters ( unobstructed ), another 4 meters ( an obstacle ) and the latter is about 7 meters ( an obstacle ) , all have had the same problem.

- I'll check your UPNP  and UPNP portforwarding  are enabled , will answer them tonight.

But the problem is also happening to me in my own house connected to my wifi in my LAN .

Maybe a configuration on the router as well. Setup some reservations for your devices on the router as well.

Keep us posted.

Hi ,

- The cameras are configured with static IP 192.xx10 / 11/12 ,

- The SSID is hidden , using WPA2 , AES encryption .

- The router truth has levels configurable security , but all are from the port of the WAN and LAN currently have them enabled , but should not have any relationship because the problem is generated, either this from the Internet or WAN same picture can not see .

However, yesterday after the last problem disable some of the securities.

How about un-hiding the SSID Name and testing?

Hi,

I do not see what the problem of having hidden SSID.

My cameras work me correctly, for one, two or five days, (the failure is random), and I can see them from my cell phone without any problem, and also from my LAN inside my house, so I want to explain a little better what happens.

What is the fault that is random? :

Simply I can not see the video of my camera.

How and in what situation it happens?

- The failure is evident when using the APP application for IOS or Android "mydlink" when I select the camera to see the video, never shown the video, and turns black part of the screen that displays, and additionally the audio icon It is not enabled.

- If at that moment, being in my house on my LAN, access from my computer to the camera via HTTPS, I have access without any problem I can see every one of the options, but I can not see the video using " Live Video ", under which the image is displayed is black, if I try to view the image by entering the" Image Setup "or" Motion Detection ", also the image goes black; now if income from the "Sound Detection" option, the sound bar is not looking, so I make a lot of noise in front of the camera.

Now if I have the problem on the camera, I decided to restart my router, the problem persists and no solution, I still have the same problem without seeing the video, but with access to all options.

Now if I decide to restart the camera using the menu options of the camera that I have access, as soon restarted the camera I can see everything normally both my cell phone and from my computer on the LAN.

This is why I say that the problem is in the firmware of the camera.

Thanks

Hernando

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

Hey there,

I called and asked me  will reset the cameras ( as originally installed ) and configure everything again and if the problem happened again , to call them .

This response sounds , it has no idea what is happening, but I'll do to be sure.

What do you think?

Thank you!

How about un-hiding the SSID Name and testing?
What wireless modes are you using on the main host router?
What channels are you using?
Is uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding enabled if you have these features on ALL cameras?
