I have a camera in my apartment in the mountain, everything was working fine but after a firmware upgrade now disconnect.
The camera is 3 hours by car far from my home so it's totally useless.
Any idea on why the camera was working fine and the new firmware creates this bug?
The wifi signal is strong and the second camera dlink dcs933L it's working fine and reconnect without any problem.
Thank you
Alessandro

- What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.
- What region are you located?
What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?
What is the distance between the Camera and the main host router?
Was the camera working before the update? What was the reason for updating the camera?
It's recommended to set a static IP address ON the camera outside the default DHCP IP address pool for the main host router.
Ensure uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding is enabled on both cameras.

I get same issue with you, everything fine until I'd upgraded firmware to 1.12.03 When my router restart my 3x DCS 5020l don't reconnect to wifi again and go offline. to solve this I have to un-plug and plug again which is very inconvenient for me.

I back home and downgrade firmware to 1.10.02 and everything back to normal again.
I think problem came from firmware.

Test cameras with uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding both enabled on ALL cameras: DCS Cloud (L) Series Camera Configuration and Mydlink.com (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=62395.0) after upgrading FW?

I'm not power user, I brought this camera because it said on it's box = "zero config"
but I'll give some information as much as I can
1.) My router is OEM, I don't know exactly brand but from my ISP.
2.) Distance is around 5 meters high from router no wall no floor just space.
3.) Camera already set to fixed ip
4.) uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding is alway enable
The problem is camera not connect to router after router restart which is never happen in firmware 1.10.02
Thanks

You can downgrade to v1.10 and see if the problem is fixed...

Unfortunately The camera is in the middle of the Alps and I live near the seaside. As soon as I'll be there I'll try to downgrade.
Any possibility to do it remotely?
Thank you

You'll need to be at the camera. :-\

Firmware 1.10 is not there. Where can i find it?
-
Can you try v1.11? ???
-
confirmed that it is a firmware 1.12 bug

I think 1.12 have reduced the time to reconnect to Router. Then it goes Adhoc mode if lost connection to router.

Did you downgrade to the previous version of FW to see if the problem goes away?
What steps did you perform when upgrading to v1.12?
