Covr-2202 - Internet works -but no Streaming
« on: August 10, 2020, 07:44:30 PM »

i purchased the Covr-2202 and used the quick setup.   Took only a couple of mins and a few questions answered and I was connected to my Line of Sight Internet over PPPoE connection.   Worked brilliantly and fast UNTIL I tried to stream - Netflix, Music or Podcasts, even trying to use BoldChat to troubleshoot with DLink fails.   None of this works.   I have reset the device a few times, restarted the entire setup process a number of times, applied the 1.04 Firmware update - noting works.

HW-2202
Firmware - 1.04

No Firewall settings
No extra settings  - all defaults

When I disconnect this Router and connect my old router or direct connect to the PPPoE device - Netflix works - so this is Not a computer setting.

The problem is happening consistently across several different Cel Phones (2 different Iphones, 1 Andriod), my LG TV, Ipad, and even my laptop and desktop.   Again there are no software settings on any of my devices that would cause this as my old router immediately put in place resolved the problem - as does connecting to the PPPoE device.

Any other suggestions before I rebox this device and return it?

Link>Welcome!

  • What region are you located?

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
  • What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
  • What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?

Can you leave PPPoE on the modem and set the A Point to just DHCP for the WAN side and see if this changes behaviors?
