I know theres a list that show compatible cameras.  I noticed today that on the page where you add cameras at the bottom of list theres a universal option.  Can 3rd party be used?

You might try it and see. I've never tried thought I don't have any 3rd party branded cameras.  ;D

I have never tried it but maybe? D-Link does not support it officially but since several cameras may use the same chipset it is possible I would think.

My DCS-2210L shows up as model NIPCA.

Having no luck adding a hikvision camera.

Could be networking error though.
