FurryNutz:
I notice that if the connection fails with the 192 and v1.07 Driver. I can stream or do speedtests with the Oklas speedtest app and depending, 1st or 2nd test run, the app will report that the connection has failed. I see the BLUE led still on for a few seconds then it starts to  blink.

If i reboot the PC, the 192 adapter is no longer displayed in the \Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network Connections in Windows 10.

If I unplug the USB cable from the 192 and back in, then the 192 adapter re-appears in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network Connections. If I don't have the adapter reconnect and still enabled. I can reboot the PC and the adapter still appears in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network Connections. Only when the 192 adapter connection fails will it disappear from Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network Connections.
I've disable any power management controls for the adapter as well.

I'm seeing the following Event Log entries in Windows:
I'm seeing this when I unplug and re-plug in the USB cable to the 192 adapter...
WLAN Extensibility Module has failed to start.
Module Path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Rtlihvs.dll
Error Code: 126

Miniport D-Link DWA-192 AC1900 Wi-Fi USB 3.0 Adapter, {a5038b2c-16c7-4ab6-abae-e60d0d253559}, had event Fatal error: The miniport has failed a power transition to operational power
Event ID: 10317

D-Link DWA-192 AC1900 Wi-Fi USB 3.0 Adapter : Could not find a network adapter.
Event ID: 5003

The 192 is connected to a DIR series router with SC enabled. Distance between is about 20-25 feet line of site from the router. !92 is connected to a USB 3.0 PCI adapter.

I ran through this process to modify Windows to see if there was any changes:
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=66011.msg277278#msg277278

Past 3 speed test thru sppedtest app seem to be keeping the 192 connected and online. This was connected to a DIR-868L. I disconnected from the 868L. Turned OFF the 868L 5Ghz only wifi radio. Reconnected to a different DIR series router and got connected. I gave the adapter a few minutes to settle in and tried another speedtest app run. The test completed however soon after, I saw the wifi icon next to the time turn gray as it seem to disconnect then the BLUE led on the 192 started blinking and this error appeared in the Event Log:
WLAN Extensibility Module has failed to start.
Module Path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Rtlihvs.dll
Error Code: 126

Windows 10 and this adapter seems to be having issues. Possible issue with DIR series router.  :-\ I don't see this in Windows 7x64 on same PC nor with Mac Mini 2012.

FurryNutz:
Ok, seeing more problems with the 192 adapter on Windows 7x64 and Mac OSX 10.14:
WIndows 7x64 Ultimate
Wireless - DWA-192 v1030.12.526.2016 from v1.07 Driver Package/USB3.0/1.3Gb Connection Rate/6ft distance
Read from DNS-345/Wireless/4Gb to SSD FAILS
17MB then xfer stopped. 192 adapter started blinking as it lost the connection with a DIR router. 5Ghz LED on DIR router stopped blinking. I had to unplug the adapter from the USB cable then back in before the 192 would reconnect. Tried 2nd xfer read from DNS and again the xfer stopped and the 192 lost connection to the DIR router. Did a full remove of the driver software and re-installed. Same thing, xfer starts then soon after stops.

Write to DNS-345/Wireless/4Gb from SSD
20MB starting, ended up cruising around 19MB throughout the xfer. No wireless disconnects seen with the 192 and DIR router.

MAC Mini 2012 OSX 10.14
Wireless - DWA-192 from v5.0.8 Driver Package/USB3.0/Unknown Connection Rate/6ft distance
Read from DNS-345/Wireless/4Gb to HDD FAILS
So as the xfer starts the 5Ghz led on the DIR router stops blinking and I get a "the operation can't be completed because an unexpected error occurred ( error code 100060). The shared icon for the dns disappears from the desktop. The wireless icon is green. Blue led on 192 adapter is still solid ON. I have an IP address reported by networking settings in OSX. I can't access the routers web page with Safari or FF. When I eject from the SSID connection then turn OFF the USB using the adapters app, the BLUE led on the 192 remains ON. If I unplug the 192 adapter from the USB cable then back in, the BLUE led goes out, however turning ON the USB on the 192 app fails to turn ON the adapter. I have fully reboot the Mac PC then turn ON the USB with the app. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE END USER EXPERIENCE WITH THIS ADAPTER!!! I captured the system and wifi.logs from OSX.

Write to DNS-345/Wireless/4Gb from HDD
Started at 28MB and slowly declined in speed and seem to cruise around 22-24MB. No wireless disconnects seen with the 192 and DIR router.

READ or DOWNLOAD thru the 192 adapter seems to be a big problem on the DWA-192.

davevt31:
You sure that they are new?

The dates on the files are 2018

edit- I downloaded this version back in October, so they have been around.

FurryNutz:
Ya I removed the driver then reinstalled.
I'm going to install drivers from v1.05 and see. I believe it was working back then for me. I have 5.0.7 for Mac.
