Bridge mode
« on: March 13, 2014, 07:30:47 PM »

Hi all,

First let me say I don't own a DIR-868L so I can't check anything in the local firmware, in particular I can't check if my region firmware provides bridge mode.

The user manual here also doesn't mention this and I can no longer check firmware release notes since I'm forced to go to mydlink support for firmware now and there are no release notes on the site or included in the firmware zip.

I'm located in Australia.

I see some discussion here about bridge mode on the DIR-868L so clearly it's available in some regions, it is available with the Australian product?

I would phone contact D-Link support to find out the official word on it. All I know is that both the DIR-865L and 868L have bridge mode here in the NA region. I presume the 868L does in your region however you'll need to confirm that with D-Link AU.

Let us know what the say.

I went and bought one anyway.
It does have bridge mode after updating the firmware but had 1.01 when purchased.

Ya, shipping FW didn't have bridge mode. Came out in v1.02 here in the NA region so I presume the AU region is similar.

Enjoy.  ;)

You still have this router?
