my router sometimes change the dns settings on restart? please give me the fix

Hi, I am using the dsl 2730 u model users.
Sometimes, i find the internet light becomes red  , when i start the pc
the fact that other devices are being used even when pc is shut down.
so, i think there is a conflict of dns settings of the pc, by my router.
How to fix this problem. I am having dynamic ip address acess by my service provider
Internal ips are being allotted by the router to different devices by its own settings.
There is no other problem of dsl cut off , connection problem etc.
