Can'T look pictures camera's sending me
« on: February 27, 2017, 07:13:39 AM »

Hi allz, I've set the camera to send image by email.
I do receive email but pictures included are always 226octets... When I try to open them, software always say file are empty or damaged.
I've tryed to find where to configure the image section but can'T find anything except video config.

Here I took a printscreen of what i receive by mail from the camera.

As you can see, files are always 226o.... and can't open them. Like if the camera was unable to generate the image.

Help please!

I am at latest firmware btw.

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

So if you save the attached files to the desk top and open them in Preview or Paint, they don't display?

If you change the camera from taking a snap ship to Video, is the video file viewable as well?

Nop as said into the initial post. I can't open them at all. they are 226 octets only...
When I do manual snapshot, pictures are around 130 Koctets.

What's strange is, If I do manual snapshot or video from the main page, everything's fine.
The problem seems to happen only when sent through email.

Ok, I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. Reference this forum thread so they can see the details. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
